Christmas Spritz Cookies
I grew up with these cookies and had a difficult time trying to recreate them the way my mom made them. Then finally, we stumbled upon her old recipe with handwritten notes and all.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup Butter
- 1/2 cup Shortening
- 1/2 cup Sugar
- 1 Eggs
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Almond Extract
- 2 1/4 cup Flour
- 15 drop Green Food Coloring
Instructions
- Heat Oven to 400 degrees
- Mix butter, shortening, sugar, egg, salt, and flavoring thoroughly.
- Work in the flour.
- Using 1/4 dough at a time, force dough through a cookie press on ungreased baking sheet in desired shapes.
- Bake 6-9 minutes or until set, but not brown.
